Hi, I'm Shaniqua!
(ACSW 97792, supervised by Natasha Kruger, PhD PSY29756)
My overall approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths based. Other modalities I use are CBT, DBT, Narrative therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy. I have a particular passion in working with young adults as they learn to navigate the world.
I have years of experience and a willingness to learn about each individual client who seeks services in order to best suit their needs. There is no one size fits all approach, and you will be in the driver's seat as I aim to guide, support and help you to navigate areas in your life that are not only troublesome, but also those that highlight their strengths.
I have gained knowledge and experience working with youth, individuals, and families of all ages with diverse, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have experience working with Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, and Substance Abuse. I have worked in community-based, outpatient, and hospital settings.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you.
